Mrs. McLaren and I were tired of waiting for beach weather, so we brought the beach to our classroom! The students quickly embraced the idea, bringing out their beach towels and stretching out to read. The beach then became a resort with front desk staff renting out rooms, portraits being sold, castle design, spa services and a beach bar/buffet, all being supervised by a resort manager. The students were very creative and we all felt rejuvenated despite the weather outside.

Humboldt Broncos Jersey Day

Over the weekend our Country was made aware of the tragic bus accident that took the life of 15 members of the Humboldt Broncos Hockey Team. In a show of support across our nation, April 12 will be Jersey Day across many schools and businesses.
We are asking staff and students to wear their favourite Jersey (or green and yellow) on April 12th to show our support for the team, families, friends and the community in Saskatchewan.
Thank You

Outdoor Ed
Tomorrow we will be heading outside for the morning to explore the natural environment around the school. Mrs. Davies (Mrs. Bubbles), will be joining us. Please be sure your child is dressed appropriately and brings extra socks, mitts, etc.
No Excuse Words
Today a sheet with a second set of "No Excuse" spelling words was sent home for your child to review. We are working on words that are most common in English writing. The first 100 words occur in 50% of adult and student writing, so if students can master these, and apply the spelling in their writing, they will see a great improvement in the readability of their work. We are now up to 120 and will continue further. Please practice the misspelled words with your child.
