Class Trip

Class Trip - Please read over the class letter sent home today about the upcoming trip to Bonnechere Caves.  You must fill out the form attached and return it with payment (cheque or online) by Tuesday, June 11.

Extended French forms (grade 4 students only)

Grade 4 students:  Extended French Forms - Please return the form sent home last week with either your selection of extended or core French by Monday, June 3 so that the administration can begin to create class lists for next year.

EQAO

EQAO begins tomorrow for the grade 3 students.  It will take place Wednesday, Thursday, Friday of this week and Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday of next week.  We will be working on it for the first block each day.  If your child is absent, they can catch up the next day they return to school. 

PA Day

Just a reminder that Friday, May 17th is a PA Day.  Have a lovely long weekend!

Bonnechere Caves

On June 25th we are planning a class trip to Bonnechere Caves.  If you are able to volunteer, please let me know by Wednesday, May 15th we so can finalize the trip.  We have limited space on the bus, so if we have too many volunteers some may need to drive themselves.

Music Performance

Our class did an amazing job singing for the school and parents today!  I have shared video of our three performances on all of their Google Drives.  If you have forgotten how to access Google Drive, you can find instructions below.

Google Drive Instructions

Dear Parents,

Your child will be working with the Google Education interface, most notably,  

Google Drive and Google Slides. Some of the students have had prior knowledge

of its set-up, while others are learning their way around this format for the first time.  

Here are some instructions for you so that you can follow your child’s work and also

sites I will send them during the year.

Logging In

There are various ways to access your child’s Google Drive.

1. One way is to download the Google Drive app on your mobile device (e.g., iPad, cell,etc.,)
2. Go to the Google search engine from your computer and click on the Sign In icon,
   sign in with the username and password above that your child already knows
3. Search Google Drive on the Google search engine

Drive

Once logged in, you can view your child’s work in My Drive, and other work previously

completed.

The sites I will send them for different learning endeavours can be found during the year

under the Shared With Me tab.  

Music Presentation

On Thursday, May 9th at 12:15pm, our class will be performing in the auditorium.  We will be singing three songs and other classes and the school choir will also be performing.  Family and friends are invited.  We hope you can join us!
