No Excuse Words

On Monday, a sheet with a set of "No Excuse" spelling words was sent home for your child to review.  We are working on words that are most common in English writing.  The first 100 words occur in 50% of adult and student writing, so if students can master these, and apply the spelling in their writing, they will see a great improvement in the readability of their work.  Please practice the misspelled words with your child.

October 31st

Tomorrow, students are invited to wear black and orange (no costumes please).  For part of the day we will be watching a movie and playing some games.  Students can bring a favourite game if they like.  I have also told students that they are welcome to wear pajamas.

There will be no outdoor education tomorrow.
