Junkyard Symphony

Today we had a fun performance by Junkyard Symphony!  The students loved it!

EQAO

The grade three students have worked very hard over the last two weeks on EQAO.  We are very proud of their stamina and perseverance!  The grade two students, who spent the mornings helping out in Kindergarten classes, also deserve a thank you!  They were great helpers and we received lots of compliments from the K teachers.  Thank to Jinan's mom who made the class a special treat to celebrate the end of testing and to Mrs. McLaren who helped prepared yummy snacks for the grade 3 students every morning.  

Outdoor Ed

We will be having Outdoor Ed tomorrow morning.  It might be a bit wet, so rubber boots may be needed!

Field Trip

The permission forms for our field trip to the Petawawa Heritage Village went home last week.  Please sign and return as soon as possible.  

If you child needs help with a costume, just let me know.  I always have lots of extra clothes and accessories (aprons, suspenders, etc.) on hand if needed.  

Decades Day

Friday, May 25 is Decade Day. Show your school spirit by dressing up as a theme or character from another decade (before 2010).

Bike Rodeo and Outdoor Ed

We will now be participating in the Bike Rodeo at 12:45 tomorrow.  We will have Outdoor Ed in the last block of the day with Mrs. Horn's class.  

Book Orders

Scholastic book orders are due Thursday, May 24th.

Outdoor Ed

The students have been having a great time exploring the outdoors and learning about the local natural environment.  We are so lucky to have Mrs. Davies sharing her wealth of knowledge and love of the environment with us! This week we finished off our morning with a trip to the Police Station to present them with a card for Police Week and to enjoy some hot dogs and cake!

Legion Poster Contest

Congratulations to Macy, Abby and Logan for their award winning posters!  They celebrated at an awards dinner at the Legion on Wednesday night. 

EQAO

EQAO testing begins next week for grade 3 students.  The dates are posted on the calendar.  The grade 2 students will be helping out in the kindergarten classes during the testing time.  

Outdoor Ed

Just a reminder that tomorrow morning we will be outside for Outdoor Ed.  Please remind your child to dress in layers as it will be quite cool in the morning.  Also, rubber boots are a good idea if your child wants to wade into the water.

Outdoor Ed

We will be going outside for Outdoor Ed in the last block tomorrow.  Please remind students to bring a water bottle and a hat.  It is supposed to be nice and warm!

Arts Night

Arts Night

Wednesday, May 2nd

Come join us for an evening of art, music and drama!

Student artwork from K-12 will be on display.

Drop in anytime from 6:00 - 8:00pm.  Auditorium performances (Kindergarten,Grade 2, Intermediate groups) from 6:15-6:30pm, Drama improv from 7:00pm, other performances run throughout the night.

Snacks will be provided by the School Council.
