Math and Science Night

Just a reminder that Wednesday night MCS is hosting a Math and Science evening from 6-8pm.  Hope to see you all there!

Character Education Award

Congratulations to Jinan, Macy and Addie on earning the Character Education Award at this month´s assembly!

Book Orders

Due to all the snow days, book orders are now due tomorrow (Wednesday).  

Grade 8 Fundraiser

The Grade 8 Olympic Fun Day and Bake Sale will now take place tomorrow (Tuesday).  

Grade 8 Fundraiser

If the buses are cancelled tomorrow, the Grade 8 Fundraiser will be postponed.  When it does happen, they will be including a bake sale!

Jersey Day

This Friday February 23rd is Jersey Day! Wear your favourite jersey to show your school spirit and earn points towards your house!

Grade 8 Grad Fundraiser

On Friday, February 23rd, the grade 8s will be holding a Winter Olympics fundraiser
to support Grad activities.  This event will take place in the small gym and will include
a hockey shootout, Wii Olympics, face paint, hot cocoa, and much more.  Help support
the Mustangs’ graduating class of 2018.

Ticket options - 50¢each or $2 for 5 tickets

Letters

Today the students wrote a letter to a family member expressing why they love them.  They were very cute.  Hope you enjoy them.  

Winter Carnival

Tomorrow the class will be participating in Bonhomme Carnaval.  They will be spending at least an hour and a half outside, so please be sure they are dressed appropriately.  Perhaps send an extra pair of mittens as well.  

Electromagnetic Motors

Local scientist, John Wills once again offered his expertise to teach the students about magnetism.  The class worked diligently to create electromagnetic motors.  All the teams were successful!!

 
 
 

 
 
 

Soup

The class will be making soup on Friday.  Please send in a vegetable or spice to add to our broth.  The kids will be practising their chopping and stirring skills!  

Social Studies

Most students have completed their Social Studies Google slide shows.  We will begin presentations this week.  Feel free to look over their projects with them and have them practice presenting it to you.  

Carnations

The student council is now selling carnations. They will be selling everyday outside Mrs. Raymond’s room from 11:20-12:00 until Friday, February 9th. Carnations are $2 each and will be delivered on February 14th.

PA Day
