Cup Challenge

Yesterday the students worked on another team building activity. They had to manipulate a stack of cups using string and an elastic.  They could not be successful if they didn't work together.  While it was frustrating for some, they all were successful in the end!

Saving Fred

On Tuesday, students participated in an activity to save Fred (the worm)!  His boat had tipped over and his life jacket was under it. They had to get the life jacket back around him and they could only use 4 paper clips.  All the groups were successful and had lots of fun in the process!!

Welcome Class of 2017/2018!!

Welcome to Grade 2 and 3!  What a wonderful class we have this year.  We currently have 21 students in Room 131.  We also have an Educational Assistant in the room, Mrs. McLaren.

We spent the day getting to know one another and working together to create classroom expectations.  The students came up with some great ideas including, "respect others, leave your toys at home, and be nice to the teachers" (I love this one!!). We decided it was important to be kind to everyone.

A great deal of paperwork came home with your child today. Please take some time to look it over and complete any forms.

We are looking forward to an amazing year in Room 131!
